After-school Kids Art Classes
Come and explore your creativity, using a variety of materials and processes in this weekly afterschool art class with Kiri Abraham.
We will experiment with painting, drawing, 3D work, clay, textiles, printing and much more. The emphasis of this class will be on process, rather than the finished product, so be ready to challenge yourself and stretch out of your comfort zone!
Open to 6-11 year old’s, this Thursday class will run from 3.30-5pm at the Helensville Art Centre. This is an 8 week class, starting Thursday May 9th -July 4th, (excluding 23 May). $120 per child, all materials provided.

Jeffrey Thomson will be taking you through a unique process of making your own French knit tool to create a one of a kind art-piece using the method of French knitting.

Have you been looking for a structured drawing class that ventures into the traditions and methods of pencil on paper?
Mike Rowland’s 6 week course will be covering the basics of object drawing and perspective, his skillset from training at Elam and work as a graphic artist will be instrumental to this course. Each student will come away with practical instructions and the confidence that can be utilized in all artistic avenues.
Local artist Mike Rowland is well known to our community participating in Helensville Art Trail, his hyperealistic paintings are an extension of his passion and technical mastery.
This course runs each Friday 1-3pm starting 8th March ending 12th April, Easter week will be Thursday 28th March in place of Easter Friday 1-3pm.
Course cost is $220 per person which includes a materials pack.
