Kaipara Awa – A River That Connects Us
The Kaipara River, which winds its way through our town, preceding the settlement of Helensville, and at times defining it, is as much a symbol as a physical body of water. This new year at the Art Centre, we will be hosting an exhibition which reflects what our awa means to us. This show is open for all to participate in, young and old, and in any media of your choice. It is a purposefully broad subject which can be interpreted as imaginatively as desired.
