Our first workshop of the year is Diana Peel’s oil painting workshop, Saturday February 11th 10-2pm, book now to reserve a space!

You don’t need any drawing or painting skills!!! Diana is an established New Zealand floral artist and tutor and works mostly with palette knife and oil paint. Get in quick, limited spaces!

Course fee $165. This includes all materials provided, easels, paints, canvas 35cm x 45cm, palette knife, brushes, cloths and solvents. Please bring an apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on.

Cindy Vida Abstract Landscape painting workshops 2022

3 two hour sessions

Using the medium acrylic you will learn methods on how to transform the common landscape into the artist’s own unique interpretation.

 

Full course cost is $85 materials not included. Please bring a set of primary colour acrylic paints (blue, red, yellow, white and black,) a canvas or paper to paint on, and three images of a landscape.

Wednesday 10th, 17th and 24th August 2022 11-1pm

Air Dry Clay Portrait

Jacky Pieper has a background in engineering, graphic and fashion design.
Pieper started sculpting in 2018 and since then learnt to make molds and cast glass as well as working with ceramics and glazes.

In this 2 part course you will be using air dry clay to build expressive small faces from imagination.
 
Saturday 9th of April you will create between 2 and 4 faces using air dry clay.
23rd April will be completing the faces with paint.

Embroidered Portrait

Jo Dixey will be running two embroidery workshops on Saturday the 16th April to coincide with our members exhibition “The Portrait”
$15 for one 2 1/2 hour session, or $20 for both sessions!
Local artist Jo Dixey has been working full-time with stitch work for 30 years. Trained at the Royal School of Needlework, Jo’s experience is a real pleasure to have at the Art Centre.
